The Level 2 book, along with its free downloadable resources, provides everything you need to start teaching Spanish confidently and effectively in Year 4. There are 7 carefully crafted stories designed to introduce beginning learners to essential vocabulary and language structures. These can be shared with pupils using audio-enhanced PowerPoints on an interactive whiteboard or printed for individual reading.

The stories link seamlessly to popular primary school topics, making it easy to integrate the scheme with other Spanish resources. At Level 2, topics include animals, likes and dislikes, days of the week, months of the year, parts of the body and numbers to 31.

To download the file from our web server onto a PC or laptop, select the file to download and enter the password given in this book. Then click ‘Download now!’.
The downloaded folder contains audio files of each story and associated vocabulary list read by native Spanish speakers as well as any vocabulary needed for the exercises. There are also enhanced e-story PowerPoints, interactive white board files, pdfs of the stories and a pdf file of resources.
You can monitor the progress of the download by either looking at the download window in the top right corner of the screen, or if the window isn’t present, by clicking on the icon (square with downward arrow). On some computers this icon/window will appear in the bottom left hand corner.
The files will normally be saved in the downloads folder on your computer unless you have altered the settings on your computer.
Unzip the folder. Navigate to the downloads folder on your computer. Right click the zipped folder. The decompressed files will appear in a folder called Luis-y-Sofia-Level-2.zip. You will need an app which plays audio files to open the audio files. You will need PowerPoint for the e-stories and white board files and a pdf reader such as Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the story files and resources.
