\"\"<\/em><\/span>Learn French with Luc et Sophie<\/em> is a story-based scheme for teaching French to 7-12 year olds<\/span><\/p>\n

Written entirely in French these original, 28 fun stories use repetitive phrases and simple sentences to embed vocabulary and language structures making them ideal for French beginners. The stories are equally split between part 1 and part 2 of the scheme.<\/span><\/p>\n

With engaging, full colour pictures and simple language on every page, these books can be read to, by and with children of any age.<\/span><\/p>\n

Children with early French language skills will gain confidence, and develop their language skills, when they realise they are able to read and understand a storybook in French.<\/span><\/p>\n

A picture to colour and talk about on the last page of each book will help to develop all four language learning skills \u2013 reading, writing, speaking and listening.<\/span><\/p>\n

These books are accompanied by a teacher’s handbook, audio files and by powerpoint presentations which can be used on smart boards.<\/p>\n

There is a powerpoint version of each book – the words are spoken in French when the speech bubbles are clicked. There is also a dictionary at the end of the presentation. Again, if the word is clicked it is pronounced in French. These presentations are available on the DVD-rom which accompanies the books. There are also exercises which can be used on smart boards. There are many different types of Smart board in schools. We have developed powerpoint exercises which can be used on any type of smart board. We have also developed exercises specifically for Promethian Boards.These presentations are available on the DVD-rom which accompanies the books.
